So you want to write a fantasy novel. First, I just want to say thank you, the world needs as much fantasy as it could possibly get. Fantasy is the stuff dreams are made of; well sure, there might be a few bumps and bruises, and certainly a thousand heart stopping moments, but in the end, when the task is done, a bright new sun will shine and life’s beauty becomes clear again.
While writing a fantasy novel you will find that you spend a lot of time just thinking, dreaming and planning with a pencil in your hand. After all, you have a whole world to create, every little detail will need to be recorded, checked, rechecked, revised and written again. There is a lot for you to remember and you could possibly be writing this over the next few months or even years. This is a long time to absorb yourself into another world. Unfortunately you will need to leave it from time to time and you really do want to come back right to where you were at.
So, where can you find that necessary motivation? Why not try telling yourself that you can do anything you set your mind to? You’ll find that you are your best motivator. Otherwise, you can look to those things that you have accomplished for motivation, or you can look to those great leaders that have come before you. Try and find inspiration in those that have risen up from poverty, destruction, and oppression. Understand the passion behind the business that you are a part of. Try and harness the many reasons why you are the person that you are today. All of these things can bring inspiration – even at the toughest of times.

Work/life balance is vital to living a healthy lifestyle. Working for the weekend and then personal intrest jam-packing it with non-stop activities is actually counterproductive to achieving balance in your life. Watching television isn’t a good substitute for plain ole relaxation either. Zoning out in front of the tube activates your brain in a way that makes relaxation next to impossible. 30 minutes is the magic number. Unplug, unwind and chill out gadget-free for 30 minutes in order to achieve balance daily.
Whether possessing a weak or strong pulse, the rhythm should be catchy. The category of music is irrelevant. Whether a song falls under R & B, gospel, reggae, rap or country, it will not be successful or memorable without a quality rhythm.
